The Process

1. Reading Skills Assessment
Assessments include an evaluation of skills in the following areas: phonics, phonological awareness assessment, decoding, encoding, and fluency.

2. Individualized Reading Plan
An instructional plan aligned with the Orton-Gillingham scope and sequence and informed by data from assessments.

3. 1:1 Virtual Reading Sessions
Highly engaging and tailored to each student’s interests, strengths, and areas of need.
Targeted Skills Development

    Foundational Reading
Skills such as phonemic awareness, phonics, decoding, spelling, fluency, and automatic word recognition are taught in a clear, systematic sequence that is aligned with the Orton-Gillingham approach.

   Reading Comprehension
Vocabulary acquisition, understanding of context clues and various questioning techniques help students learn to predict and analyze text. As skills develop, students gain the tools needed to navigate figurative language and literary device. By applying specific comprehension strategies, students learn to become actively engaged with printed text.

Special Education Support
Instruction is adapted for students with diverse learning profiles, IEP goals, attention needs, and executive-function challenges.

       Writing & Spelling
Handwriting, sound-symbol awareness, spelling patterns, sentence construction,  and proof-reading skills are supported with explicit, structured routines.

   Dyslexia Support
Multisensory, structured literacy instruction is designed to support students with dyslexia and persistent reading difficulties. Â

       Virtual Tutoring
Interactive online lessons use a variety of digital platforms, games, whiteboards, and interactive slides, and include hands-on paper materials that can be used at home.
